A warm welcome to postdoc Laura Bretherton from the Finkel-Dalhousie Group who recently joined CBIOMES.

HH: In summary, what are your research interests?
LB: My research interests are phytoplankton physiology and community ecology, and understanding how these change with different environmental conditions.
HH: What is your role in Zoe’s Group? What are you going to be working on for CBIOMES?
LB: I’m a postdoc in Zoe’s lab, and currently I am working on characterizing the macromolecular composition of picoeukaryotes in response to a range of stressors, such as nutrient limitation or high light.
HH: What is your educational background (BS, MS?)
LB: I completed my BSc in Marine & Freshwater Biology and PhD in Marine Biology at the University of Essex in the UK.
