HH: In summary, what are your research interests?
BG: I’m interested in the details of microbial interactions and the dynamics of microbial communities.

HH: What is your role in Chris’s group? What will you be working on for CBIOMES?
BG: As a Postdoc in the Armbrust lab I’m working with the Gradients metatranscriptomic dataset to explore how bacteria and phytoplankton respond to iron limitation.

HH: What is your educational background (BS, MS)?
BG: I received a BS in Bioengineering from Montana State University and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University. As an undergraduate, I studied the spread of pathogens via splash droplets, and as a graduate student, I developed imaging tools to study complex biofilms in situ.
