Jacob Bien Honored as ASA Fellow

Congratulations to Jacob Bien for his recent award.

Bien was one of forty-six members of the American Statistical Association were honored as ASA Fellows recently during the ASA’s 2025 Joint Statistical Meeting  Awards Ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. The award recognizes “outstanding professional contributions, leadership, and dedication to advancing statistical science.”

Jacob Bien is an associate professor in the Department of Data Sciences and Operations at the USC Marshall School of Business. He serves as a principal investigator for the CBIOMES project, where he leads research on statistical network inference and time series analysis of marine ecosystems.
