We are delighted to welcome postdoc Riddhiman Bhattacharya to the CBIOMES community!
Riddhiman Bhattacharya joins Justin’s group as a postdoc, where he will focus on developing new statistical methodologies and building accessible software tools to help oceanographers analyze complex marine datasets. His work aims to bridge the gap between statistical innovation and practical application in ocean science, enabling researchers to tackle pressing questions with robust analytical frameworks.
Riddhiman’s research interests span the development and application of statistical methods across multiple disciplines. His past projects have ranged from modeling resource allocation to studying heart disease. Recently, he has become deeply interested in marine data, drawn by its richness and its potential for methodological development.
Riddhiman holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Minnesota, and brings a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied statistics to his role at CBIOMES.
