We’re excited to welcome Howard Kim to the CBIOMES team!
Howard joins Ginger’s group as a Full-stack Software Engineer, where he is working on the Simons CMAP data portal. His role is central to ensuring the portal runs smoothly, improving the user experience, and adding new features that make it easier for scientists to interact with and analyze ocean data. His work supports the broader research mission by making complex data more accessible and usable for oceanographers.
Though not a researcher himself, Howard plays a vital role in enabling research through thoughtful engineering and design. His background spans business and computer science, with a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington, an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and an MS in Computer Science (Machine Learning) from Georgia Tech.
