A warm welcome to postdoc Sing-how Tuo who joins the Irwin/Finkel Dalhousie CBIOMES Group this month.
by Helen Hill for CBIOMES
Tuo is interested in marine nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria, diatom diazotroph associations, their distributions in the field, and the impacts of nutrient limitations on them.
He joins the Dalhousie Group, looking forward to working on the changes of macromolecular composition in unicellular N2-fixing cyanobacteria under different nutrient starvation regimes with Zoe and Andrew.
Tuo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Science (2002) and a PhD in Biological Oceanography (2015) both from the National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He has previously held postdoctoral positions at Academia Sinica, Taiwan; and Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA. He joined the Marine Microbial Macroecology Lab at Dalhousie as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in December 2020.
