CBIOMES Welcomes Kevan Merrow

A warm welcome to Kevan Merrow who recently joined the Finkel-Irwin Group.

by Helen Hill for CBIOMES

Kevan Merrow is a Masters student with interests that include plankton ecology, biogeography, and biochemistry in marine environments with a particular interest  in how these topics relate to evolution, climate change, and biogeochemical cycling.

As part of CBIOMES Kevan will be analyzing the macromolecular and elemental composition of zooplankton samples from cruise data to contribute to models of plankton biogeography and community composition.

Kevan holds a BSc (2019) in Ecology and Environmental Sciences (concentrating in Marine Ecology) from the University of Maine in 2019. I am currently pursuing my MSc in Oceanography at Dalhousie University.
